Candy’s TGIF Peach Margarita
I’m not going to be able to properly celebrate Cinco de Mayo this week, what with Mr. Candy having the audacity to WORK on that holiest of party days — sacrilege! — so we are going to raise a glass in honor of it tonight instead, with a peach margarita.
I love just about ANY kind of margarita — salt, no salt, frozen, on the rocks, up, down, side-to-side — but I thought peach would be a yummy twist.
TGIF PEACH MARGARITA (OR, AS MY INNER PUN ENTHUSIAST DESPERATELY WANTS TO CALL IT, MAMARITA)
INGREDIENTS
- 1 oz. Tequila (I totally forgot we had Patrón — a gift, I think? What a lovely surprise. Woo-hoo!)
- 1 oz. Peach Schnapps
- 1 oz. Sweet and Sour Mix
- 1 dash — yes, a dash! — of Grenadine
INSTRUCTIONS
Pour the tequila, peach schnapps and sweet-n-sour mix over ice in a margarita glass. Add the DASH of grenadine, stir slightly, and pour down the hatch!

Come to madre!
There it is: party in a glass. I believe that festive adornment is actually from one of our Mexican vacations in years past. How sanitary of me, no? Mmmmm. Ah, well, I won’t care after a few sips of this bad boy. Happy Early Cinco de Mayo, everyone!
