Relationship Obituaries: Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy

This is kind of a bummer:  After dating for five years, Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy have decided to call it quits.  Dunzo.  Finito.  No mas.  Buh-bye.

The two funny people seemed to have a cool, drama-free relationship — which is exactly how they’ve ended things, too.

“I’m so grateful for the years Jim and I shared together,” Jenny, 37, said in a statement. “I will continue to be in his daughter’s life and will always keep Jim as a leading man in my heart.”

In announcing the split on his Twitter page (of course), Jim, 48, was equally respectful. “I’m grateful 4 the many blessings we’ve shared and I wish her the very best! S’okay!” Jim Tweeted.

Awwww.  I always imagined these two communicated through fart noises and flapping their butt cheeks.  A shame to think that romance has ended.
