Housewives’ Bethenny Frankel Is Baking a Bun in the Oven

Natural food chef and reality “star” Bethenny Frankel, who introduced me to the yummy, low-cal and STRONG Skinnygirl Margarita, is expecting a baby with fiancé Jason Hoppy.

Woo-hoo!  Shotgun wedding, baby.

Bethenny was forced to announce the pregnancy, even though she is only two months along (most people don’t like to share the news until they’re three months along, when the odds of complications drop significantly), because Perez Hilton already announced the news for her on his site.  How thoughtful of him!

“It’s premature to be telling people this. . . It’s not the way I wanted it to get out,” Bethenny told People. “I haven’t even gone through my first trimester. We haven’t even heard the heartbeat. My [fiancé’s] parents didn’t even know.”

As for getting pregnant before tying the knot, she says:

“I’m no spring chicken. I didn’t think it was going to happen right away. Because of my age, sometimes we weren’t totally careful.”

However, she admits:

“I got to be honest, we are both feeling kind of proud of ourselves. We are both 38 and we were like, ‘Listen, your fish can swim and I am fertile.’ So that’s exciting.”

“Listen, your fish can swim and I am fertile”… a beautiful quote to include on the birth announcements, for sure.
