Padma Lakshmi and 18-Month-Old Krishna Color-Coordinate in NYC Outing

"Don't hate us because we're beautiful."

As ALL mothers and daughters should coordinate their wardrobes.  Which is why I’m wearing a Dora t-shirt today.

Ridiculously gorgeous Top Chef judge, Padma Lakshmi, toted her equally ridiculously gorgeous tot, daughter Krishna Thea, after dining at Pastis in New York City on Friday.

Raising the 18-month-old (daddy: Adam Dell, venture capitalist and brother of billionaire Dell Inc. founder Michael Dell) in the Big Apple is the plan for now, Padma, 40, tells People.

“She’s definitely a city baby,” Padma says.

“[Krishna] always likes going out and seeing new things. We walk around a lot and that’s a way for her to explore.”

Not to mention she likes the convenience of being able to grab a beer around the corner at 3 a.m. any night of the week.

Oh wait, no — that was me.  *Sigh*  I sure do miss that about New York.

A humor columnist for Disney, Nickelodeon, Scary Mommy, Reductress and Redbook, she also used to be a staff writer for the soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful, where she penned many scripts featuring prolonged heated stares and countless “Who’s the Daddy?” story lines. Candy lives in Los Angeles with her husband, two young kids and three rescue Persian cats, the latter of whom are the real brains behind this operation (so send all complaints to them).
