Stella McCartney to Design Rompers, Onesies, Six-Inch Metal Stilettos for GapKids

StellaMcCartneyGapKids and babyGap are about to become more haute couture, less baby-next-door (hells yeah, I’m a poet!), as British designer and daughter of some random pop singer, Stella McCartney, has announced she is launching a collection for Gap’s tyke brands.

“For years now I’ve wanted to create a collection for kids, it’s something I’ve often been asked about,” Stella said. “I believe that this one-off collaboration will be a great way for customers to be able to participate in the Stella McCartney brand.”

Translation:  Gap showed me the money!

The collection is set to launch later this year and will be available in Gap stores in the UK, France, Ireland, Canada and Japan — as well as online and in stores across the U.S.

“I believe that kids clothing should be more accessibly priced, which is particularly important at the moment given the current climate,” the designer said. “It’s really exciting for us to do a boys and girls collection for the first time.”

In fact, Stella already has plenty of experience designing onesies:

Just adorable!
