How Mariah Carey Got Her Body Back!
You knew this headline was coming…
My question always is, Where did you lose it in the first place?
With my follow-up question to Mariah being, Any chance you’ll get your belly button back, too?
Six months after welcoming twins Moroccan and Monroe (aka “Roc” and “Roe”), Mariah Carey has lost 30 pounds — and, never one to be modest, shows off her toned-slash-airbrushed legs and stomach in size-6 short-shorts on the new cover of Us Weekly.
“I gained an enormous amount of weight,” Mariah tells Us of welcoming her son and daughter April 30 with hubby Nick Cannon.
Not surprisingly, Mariah’s “I’ve got my body back!” media tour is also part of her commitment to hawk the Jenny (formerly Jenny Craig) program, to which she credits her slim-down with their 1,500-calorie-a-day menu and thrice-weekly workouts.
“I feel incredible,” Mariah purrs (or so I envision), three months after her body transformation began. She and Nick, 31, famously struggled to conceive their twins (born via C-section at 35 weeks) after a heartbreaking miscarriage.
Though she did exercise, going for walks with her dogs and doing water workouts, Mariah admits, “The diet is 90 percent of it.”
“The whole point of this is not just like: ‘Oh, hey, look at me and my weight loss, I’m fantastic,'” says the singer, who was put on bed rest during her difficult pregnancy with the twins. “It’s really health. Like I said, I learned it when I became helpless and felt so vulnerable like never before in my life.”
Helpless: Also an appropriate description of how I felt when I watched Glitter.
