Mel B Reveals Baby’s “Gender-Neutral” — Yet Suspiciously Feminine — Nursery

I have to admit, I like peeking into the nurseries of celebrities — no, not, like, IN THEIR WINDOWS!  I only did that with the Beckhams, I swear! — and jotting down style ideas that I’ll never use or be able to afford.  So join me in touring the latest nursery of Spice Girl Melanie Brown as she awaits the birth of her third child (gender purportedly unknown, yet the nursery decor begs to differ)…

Mel B, who enlisted the help of Little Crown Interiors, will bring baby home to a Parisian chic-inspired room full of golden hues and touches of lilac featuring Bratt Decor‘s Chelsea Iron Lifetime Crib ($1,340) lined with satin bows, a coordinating Chelsea Armoire Antique ($2,290) and a comfy over-sized chair.

“My whole thing was that I wanted a room that was calming and a room that I could just come in here and get away… and just relax and take a moment,” Melanie, 36, tells Access Hollywood.

Relax.  As a new mother with three kids.  Ha, haaaaaa!  She might have better luck with that by building an underground bunker.

She also created something I’ve never seen before:  a secluded nursing nook, sectioned off from the rest of the room with wrap-around golden-colored drapes.  Which is kind of awesome.

“I wanted to make sure that I had an area that I could feed the baby that was completely private that I could close off during nighttime feeds,” Melanie reveals. “It’s like being back in the womb. It’s like a little den.”

The only “cozy” nook I’ve ever nursed in was a bathroom stall at Burger King.  Awwwww.

To actually see Mel B’s nursery instead of reading about us blathering on about it, check out the video from Access Hollywood below:
