Tina Fey Welcomes a Daughter Named [DRUM ROLL PLEASE]…

Hint:  It is NOT Liz Lemon.  Unfortunately.

Tina Fey’s baby finally glanced toward the outside world and said, “I want to go to there,” thus making her world debut on Wednesday.  The 30 Rock star welcomed a healthy baby girl, Penelope Athena Richmond, with her composer husband Jeffrey Richmond, 50.

Already mom to 5-year-old Alice, Tina joked with Ellen DeGeneres during her pregnancy that she and her husband wanted to wait to discover the baby’s gender. “I’m just going to see what it chooses to wear to prom,” Tina said at the time.  Of course, if menswear is still popular with girls then, it could still make it difficult for Tina to tell.  Just a thought.

T-Fey also said her second pregnancy was “easy,” to which I — and my first vomiting-filled first trimester and short cervix must stick out our tongues — and spoke about agonizing over having a second kid.  Tina explained how she and her husband decided it was time to expand their family.

Said Tina to Oprah: “My husband and I really decided that we felt rather than risk having 30 Rock end in several years and feeling like part of our family is missing that we were going to prioritize our family.”

Yes, better to prioritize family now than to have to steal a baby, Liz Lemon-style, later, I always say.
