Donald Trump Steals Ivanka’s Thunder, Announces Granddaughter’s Name

Donald Trump has never met a publicity opportunity he didn’t like — and his own granddaughter’s name announcement was no exception.

“I just left the hospital and the baby is beautiful. [Ivanka’s] doing great,” The Doland, 65, told Fox & Friends. “Arabella Rose is the baby’s name – I just found that out by the way.”

Hey, Ivanka is just the mother of the kid, after all.  No sense in letting her have all the fun and make the announcement herself.  *Ahem*

Already having the wind taken out of her mommy sails, Ivanka made a follow-up announcement via Twitter shortly thereafter:

“Jared and I are having so much fun playing with our daughter!” Trump, 29, writes. “Arabella Rose is beyond adorable. She’s truly a blessing.”

No word on when Arabella Rose will embark on her inevitable career as a Disney princess.  (Right?  Arabella Rose!  That name was just made for poofy dresses.)
