Victoria Beckham Instructs Baby Shower Guests to Think Pink

Victoria Beckham’s only wish for her baby shower…?  Well, besides skipping the “Smell the Diaper” baby shower game, we presume…?  Mo’ pink, mo’ pink, mo’ pink!

The mama-to-be, who already has three boys and is jonesing for some more estrogen in the house, got her wish on Saturday as she celebrated the upcoming arrival of her daughter with close friends, including Nicole Richie, Eva Longoria and Selma Blair, who is also pregnant.

“All she wanted was anything pink,” says a source. “She’s so excited to finally have a girl.”

The shower, held at the private rooftop Butterfly Bar atop West Hollywood’s Hotel Le Petit Ermitage, was co-hosted by Eva and hair stylist Ken Paves.  As you’ve likely guessed, the color scheme for the bash was also — surprise! — pink, with pink tablecloths, round tables and pink blossoms with white sun umbrellas. The shower had an English garden tea party theme, and guests enjoyed a princess cake with marzipan.

And, oh yes, there were games.  Selma Blair led one team in a quest to make the best dress out of toilet paper (photographic evidence here), while another game involved picking up water balloons with one’s chin — which could be, um, fun in your third trimester.

Among the gifts Posh received from Los Angeles baby store Beginnings were a pink Quinny Buzz Special Edition stroller ($549.99), a mamaRoo baby swing ($199), a pink Hoppop Bath tub ($49.99), a pink Little Giraffe Luxe Blanket ($78), a Timi and Leslie diaper bag ($154.99) and a five-foot custom-made giraffe by Melissa and Doug ($84.26).

Phew!  We were wondering how Posh and Becks would afford to outfit this baby themselves.  *AHEM*
