P.S. — Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban Had a Baby Last Month

Mr. Candy and I were watching E!’s Fashion Police Golden Globes special tonight — okay, so I was watching it and my husband only joined me when he learned the show would feature a “Rack Report” (yes, that would be an in-depth cleavage analysis) when Mr. Candy said, “Whoa.  Rewind that.”

“I am NOT rewinding Halle Berry in slow motion, you perv –”

“No!  Check out the scrolling news at the bottom.”

Lo and behold, the news announcement in teeny-tiny font declared: “Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have revealed they are the parents of a baby girl, Faith Margaret Kidman Urban, who arrived Dec. 28 through a gestational carrier.”

Or something like that.  It was just odd to be watching Kelly Osbourne and Giuliana Rancic debate the merits of the daisies on Michelle Williams’ dress, while Nicole Kidman’s SURPRISE BABY was merely a blip at the bottom of the TV screen.

Regardless, I think we can all agree those daisies really did not work for Michelle.

As for Faith, who is the biological daughter of Nicole and Keith, both 43, their statement reads:

“Our family is truly blessed, and just so thankful, to have been given the gift of baby Faith Margaret.  No words can adequately convey the incredible gratitude that we feel for everyone who was so supportive throughout this process, in particular our gestational carrier.”

“‘Gestational carrier’ — I’ve never heard that before, have you?” I asked Mr. Candy.  However, Mr. Candy was too busy rewinding Halle Berry in slow motion to respond.
