How Couples Can Work Together During the Recession

“Hey, honey.  Looks like we’re gonna have to pay a late fee on the Visa bill.”

“Uh-oh.”

“Unless…”

“Yes?”

“Unless you FINALLY chip in and sell a few blowjobs on Craigslist.”

Yes, a man simply trying to “pay bills” by pimping out his wife on Craigslist has been arrested, and faces one count of promoting prostitution and one count of conspiracy.

Poor guy.  He was just leveraging their resources for a little extra income!  Geesh.

Christopher Anaya, who worked as a security guard at one of America’s top nuclear labs, posted a topless picture of his wife on Craigslist and touted her as a “Lustful Latina.”  Alliterative!  Nice touch.   Well, this caught the eye of the Albuquerque Police Department — who just happened to be scouring the “Sex for Sale” section — prompting them to set up a sting operation and arrange a meeting with the wife.

Police said she was arrested after she showed up and agreed to perform sex acts with the undercover officer.  Oops.  Guess that Visa bill and those new curtains she’s been eyeing will have to wait.

They also said she quickly implicated her husband. Pft. So much for employee loyalty.

“During the course of the arrest, she offered that he was an officer and they followed up and learned that Christopher Anaya apparently had produced the ad online on Craigslist and the grand jury alleges that he delivered her and solicited patrons for her,” Spokesperson for the District Attorney Pat Davis said, adding that their office already pursued charges of prostitution against the wife, but the investigation showed her husband was really the mastermind behind the prostitution plot.

Man!  Times are just getting tougher and tougher for the small businessman, are they not?
