Cameron Diaz in No Hurry to Change Diapers, Have 3AM Wake-Up Calls

Despite the constant media pressure of “OMIGOD YOU’RE OVER 30, YOU’D BETTER FREAKIN’ HURRY UP AND HAVE A BABY!!!” 36-year-old Cameron Diaz says she is — GASP! — comfortable with the decisions she has made in her life.  In fact, she is in no particular hurry to have kids, if ever at all.

“I think that it’s normal for people to ask that … especially of someone my age, because it seems like the obvious thing: ‘Why haven’t you done it?’ It doesn’t bother me. It’s not the cross I bear,” Cameron tells Parade magazine. “I’m not somebody who is going to declare either way if I’m absolutely going to or I’m absolutely not going to have children. I have no idea. I’m still young. I have an unbelievable life.  In some ways I have the life that I have because I don’t have children.”

And, also, why you have the perky butt that you do (writes Candy, whose squishy pregnant cheeks could currently double as gel-filled stress balls).

Right now, Cameron is happy just being an aunt to her three nieces.  And, having been an aunt since I was six years old, I must agree that aunthood really does rock.  All of the adoration; none of the responsibility!

“I know what it’s like,” she said of having kids. “I’ve changed the diapers.  I’ve seen three births, so I totally get the whole picture. I don’t think it’s a compromise not to (have kids), I think it’s just a different choice.

“People might say, ‘That’s bull.  She actually really wants to have a baby,’” Cam continued. “My answer is: ‘No!  Everything I’m bringing into my life right now isn’t geared toward that. It might be one day.’”

If she thinks “the whole picture” is changing the diapers and watching women in labor, no WONDER she’s in no hurry to have kids!
