Not-So-Hot Off the Presses: Wanda Sykes and Wife Welcome Twins

Just days after giving birth to a comedienne’s dream — controversy — with her jokes at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, Wanda Sykes announced that she also became a mom to fraternal twins with her wife, Alex… more than two weeks ago.

What a white-hot scoop!

Daughter Olivia Lou weighed in at 6 lbs., 7 oz., and was 19 inches long. Son Lucas Claude debuted at 7 lbs., 9 oz., and was 20 inches long.  The comedienne’s wife gave birth to the babies on April 27.  All are healthy, happy and all that good stuff.

But back to the White House “controversy.”  Honestly, I was less offended by Skyes’ 9/11 riff than the fact that her routine was called “comedy.”  To wit:

…”I think maybe Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker. But he was just so strung out on OxyContin he missed his flight.”

Ha, haaaaa…?

C’mon, Mama Wanda.  There MUST have been a better Limbaugh joke in there:  “But his ego was too big to check, so they wouldn’t let him on the flight.”

Yeah, yeah, I know… give me a break, folks.   *I’M* not the one getting paid the big bucks!
