Porterhouse Nabs Most Beautiful Bulldog Crown with Poise and Drool

In today’s “Toddlers & Tiaras:  Canine Edition,” four-year-old Porterhouse has sashayed his way to the winner’s circle — and, yes, my heart – in Drake University’s annual Beautiful Bulldog Contest.

Obviously elated that he had nabbed the prestigious honor, Porterhouse could only manage to say, *DROOL*.

For three years, Porterhouse was so close to the title he could almost lick it. Now, the Beautiful Bulldog crown is his to slobber on for the rest of the year.  After two runner-up finishes and one “Mr. Congeniality” title, Porterhouse finally nabbed “top dog” honors yesterday, beating out 49 other dogs from eight states — including a runner-up who made ill-informed remarks about gay marriage.
