Rachel Zoe’s Monster 10-Carat Push Present

Hmmmm. I think Rachel Zoe wants us to notice something. But I can’t put my finger on it…

RachelZoe-pushpresentI have to be honest:  If my husband bought me a 10-carat cushion-cut diamond ring designed by jeweler Neil Lane…?  I’d probably walk around like that, too.

Yeah, so, when Rachel gave birth to son Skyler Morrison seven weeks ago, her husband Rodger Berman wanted to get her a little something special to celebrate.  Actually, make that a whole LOT of something.

“Rodger wanted to surprise Rachel with something romantic — and huge,” says Lane of the sparkler, adorned with smaller diamonds in a platinum setting. “I knew she’s wanted a cushion cut forever. It was their first baby and she’s been working so hard that Rodger wanted to do something very special. Rachel was thrilled and hasn’t taken it off since!”

There is a huge debate brewing about whether a “push present” is appropriate, with many moms crying out that the baby should be present enough.  Which, yes, it should be.  Of course.  But if I could also carry my precious gift of a baby around with a monster diamond on my hand?  Um, YES PLEASE.  Mama likes her rocks!
